How and when do I become a member?
Every year we have two introductory months in September and February. During these months you can join us at our weekly get-togethers and other activities, and sign up as a new member. Both of these periods end with an introductory weekend getaway (free lodging for new members!) where you can have fun and get to know the association and its members. If you would really like to visit outside of these two months, you can send us a message.

Are there any obligations?
As good as none. New members are inaugurated, marking the moment you become a member. But the inauguration only takes a few minutes and then the obligations end. As a social club, we want everyone to have fun and have a good time. Some of our get-togethers have crazy themes, like the playback theme, where everyone gets to put on a playback show, but you only ever have to participate if you feel like it. We have committees to help with our meetups (opening/closing, cooking and bar duty) but these are all optional to join, only if you feel like helping.
What is the membership fee?
Our membership fee is €100 per year, which in total is even less than the cheapest Netflix subscription! This fee is collected annually, usually in November. The proceeds are used to keep the drinks at the bar as cheap as can be and to organize as many fun activities as possible. You'll get free lodging at the first weekend getaway you join, from your 6th year you get a 10% seniority discount and your 10th year is completely free! If you become a member in February, you will only have to pay for the remaining half of the academic year, after which you switch to the regular schedule.
When are the get-togethers?
We meet up every Thursday evening from 21:00 to have drinks at our venue the Krater, at the Prinsengracht 181. If you like, you can also join us for dinner at 20:00 at the Krater, we will always take your dietary needs into account.
What makes Liber fun?
You do! We are a social club, so the goal is to have a good time. Just be yourself and have fun. Our activities are mainly organized by members who like to share things they enjoy: watching bad movies together, visiting museums, going swimming, gaming, or just chilling at the park.
